Sundown Till Dawn produced by Loretta Hagen, Gary Hagen and Dan Drilling at Bearfort Recording C2008 Publisher LHSongs ASCAP
The title song from Loretta Hagen's CD, "Sundown Till Dawn", is her most personal recording to date. After her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Loretta and her family became round the clock caregivers in their mom's home, dealing with the changes and challenges that come with such a terrible disease. For Loretta and her family, it's been an emotional roller coaster, and her song paints a clear picture of how her mom has suffered.
Loretta is a tireless advocate for Alzheimer's disease, and she was chosen by the National Alzheimer's Association to perform her song Sundown Till Dawn, during the Candlelight Vigil at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC for the Public Policy Forum.
The title track Sundown Till Dawn is included on a soundtrack of a feature documentary film "Ten Mountains, Ten Years" which premiered May 5, 2010 at Connecticut Film Festival. The Backlight Productions film is about a group of mountain climbers called The Regulars who are climbing mountains to raise awareness for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Leeza Gibbons opens the film, and actress Anne Hathaway narrates! Bruce Springsteen is also on the sound track for 10 Mountains 10 Years documentary feature film, with the song "Leap Of Faith."
Loretta's hopes are that her song will help to raise awareness and funding for research, so that others will one day be spared the suffering these diseases inflict.
